María Guinaldo Losada
is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science and Automatic Control Department of UNED, Madrid (Spain).
She received the M.S. degree in Physics and the B.S. degree in Computer Engineer from the University of Salamanca, Spain, in 2007 and 2008, respectively. In September 2008, she joined the UNED, where she worked on her PhD on “Networked and event-triggered control of linear systems", under the supervision of Prof. José Sánchez and Prof. Sebastián Dormido. She received the Ph.D. degree (Cum Laude) in Computer Engineer from UNED in July 2013. In 2015, she was awareded by the Spanish Comitee of Automatica (CEA) and Springer for the best Ph.D. thesis in Control Engineering.
She is author or co-author of more than 40 publications, including 19 peer reviewed articles indexed in JCR (14 in Q1), 2 books and 6 book chapters. She was a visiting researcher in several international institutions such as EPFL (Laussane, Switzerland), KTH (Stockholm, Sweden), and INRIA (Grenoble, France). Her research interests include control of networked cyber-physical systems, event-based control, multi-agent systems, and engineering education.
